Grow Greater Englewood, Inc.

Who We Are

Grow Greater Englewood is a 501(c)(3) social enterprise that works with residents and developers to create sustainable local food economies, green businesses, and land sovereignty to empower residents to create wellness and wealth.

What We Do

Grow Greater Englewood offers a variety of volunteer opportunities across several community-driven programs: Englewood Village Market (EVM): Connects residents with affordable fresh produce, healthy foods, and locally made goods while supporting neighborhood vendors and entrepreneurs. Englewood Village Farms (EVF): A network of urban farms led by a collective of Black and Brown farmers that welcomes volunteers to assist with planting, harvesting, maintenance, and other farm operations. Englewood Food Sovereignty Network (EFSN): Expands access to fresh, healthy food, resources, and community services by supporting food distributions, outreach efforts, and community events hosted by Grow Greater Englewood and partner organizations. Englewood Nature Trail/Agro-Eco District: A community-led initiative focused on revitalizing disinvested land by transforming vacant and underutilized spaces into vibrant green spaces, urban farms, community gardens, and other environmentally sustainable assets that beautify neighborhoods, promote wellness, and support economic development. Volunteers can assist with planting, landscaping, site maintenance, community cleanups, and neighborhood beautification projects. Volunteers play a vital role in advancing food sovereignty, strengthening community connections, restoring community assets, and helping create a healthier, greener, and more sustainable Englewood.
