Volunteer: QUED-UP Community Ambassador

QUED-UP Community Ambassador

QUED-Up is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping underserved students gain access to careers in cybersecurity, animation, gaming, and technology through workforce development, mentorship, certifications, and hands-on education programs. QUED-UP works with schools and organizations throughout Chicago, including Chicago Public Schools, and has donated nearly 1,000 computers and technology devices to students and families in need.

As a QUED-UP Community Ambassador, volunteers will help support our fundraising campaign focused on sponsoring 2,400 students into cybersecurity training and career pathways while also supporting our animation and creative technology programs. This role is focused on outreach, fundraising support, community engagement, and helping create life-changing opportunities for students.

This is a flexible volunteer opportunity that can primarily be completed remotely from home using a phone, computer, email, and social media. Volunteers are not required to report to a physical office location and can complete most activities virtually based on their schedule. Remote and virtual volunteer opportunities are increasingly recognized as valuable ways to expand community service participation and outreach efforts.

Volunteers will complete weekly outreach and fundraising goals as part of their 20 volunteer hours per week. Training, scripts, outreach materials, mentorship, and ongoing support will be provided by the QUED-UP team. Programs with structured volunteer goals and community engagement activities are considered a best practice for successful volunteer programs.
