- Culinary Connections Parking is a crucial resource to support the connection between
local chefs and local farms at Lincoln Park. Culinary Connections Parking volunteers
welcome chefs to the market and monitor priority parking on the north side of Lincoln
Park. This is a role within Market Ambassadors that utilizes technology.
- Club Sprouts encourages young people to learn about locally produced, sustainable foods.
Volunteers facilitate this learning by leading activities and tastings for kids at the market.
- Farm to Market Field Trips welcome CPS classes to the market to connect students with
their food. Volunteers help facilitate the Farm to Market Field Trip program by assisting
with setup, including field trip supplies and tastings. Once the students arrive, volunteers
follow the field trip and support them by answering questions and distributing tastings.
- Food access volunteers assist with the aggregation and weighing of food from Green City
Market vendors. Volunteers help our community partners pick up these donations to be
distributed throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area.
- Market Ambassadors assist with general market operations and are the main points of
contact for Green City Market customers. Volunteers welcome shoppers, answer questions,
and maintain a customer count. Volunteers will assist with market setup and breakdown
including composting needs.
