Do you enjoy nature and working with kids? Join us for Hike Leader Training on Thursday, August 8, 6 - 7:30 pm at Rock Springs Nature Center (3939 Nearing Lane, Decatur, IL). This training will start out in the Washburn Classroom, then head outside.
Volunteer hike leaders are an essential part of our educational team throughout the year. A typical educational walk occurs at a leisurely pace and lasts approximately one hour, covering less than ½-mile in distance. We provide you with training, a packet of information for educational topics, and the opportunity to observe another experienced hike leader in action.
