The YES (Youth Experiencing Science) Volunteer program provides fun opportunities for teens ages 13-17 to assist museum staff and visitors, while also helping you meet new people, gain new skills and knowledge, fulfill service hour requirements and explore different career paths. Some things that YES Volunteers might do include helping out at a special event, interacting with museum guests, demonstrating how exhibits work, organizing exhibit areas, and more!

The Adult Volunteer program (18 years and older) provides fun and rewarding opportunities for adults to make a difference at our museum and in the Rockford community! Some things adult volunteers might do include assisting at special events, running an activity station, preparing materials for upcoming classes and exhibits, assist with mailings or other office work, exhibit maintenance, and more!

Are you a part of a group or club through school, work, church or other organizations, and are looking to give back? Spend time with colleagues or classmates doing a variety of projects in a fun environment, while making a difference at our museum and in the Rockford community! Some things group volunteers might do include helping out at a special event, running an activity station, preparing materials for special events and classes, exhibit and park maintenance, and more! Group volunteers can help out at one of our special events, or set up a  specific day/time to help out with a special project.
