Una interacción social es importante para el espíritu humano; creemos que nutrir el alma es tan importante como alimentar al cuerpo. Los adultos mayores con los que trabajamos tienen poco o nulo contacto con familiares y/o amistades. Ellos viven aislados. Los voluntarios apoyan a los adultos mayores a través de la amistad, participando en diversas actividades y programas, e incluso visitas personales y fiestas en días festivos. Una visita en persona es la mejor manera de aliviar la soledad y el aislamiento. LBFE está buscando voluntarios que puedan visitar a un adulto mayor en persona. Nuestro objetivo es conectar a las personas a través de la amistad. Las visitas pueden ser en el hogar, al aire libre (cuando el clima lo permite), o en lugares dentro de la comunidad.
