PeoriaCorps City of Peoria

PeoriaCorps staff recruits individuals who are motivated to improve their job readiness and soft skills for the purposes of making them more confident and competitive in the local and regional job market. Corps members, through hands-on work experience, work in collaboration with the City’s Public Works Department to address the city’s wet weather challenges through green stormwater infrastructure improvements. Members also develop and practice soft skills to bridge the gap between their current skills and those needed for educational pursuits, apprenticeships, or future employment.

PeoriaCorps is a six month workforce development program designed to create pathways to career opportunities in green infrastructure.
