The 5th Avenue Community Garden is a community-led initiative dedicated to improving food access, promoting environmental stewardship, fostering youth development, and strengthening neighborhood connections in Ward 5 of Kankakee, Illinois.

The garden operates through the leadership of the Youth Empowerment Initiative (YEI), 4-H Lepra's Club, community volunteers, and local partners who share a commitment to creating a healthier, more vibrant, and more connected community.
